Maintenance Manager

We are currently looking for a Maintenance Manager for our Lantz, NS operations. Reporting to the General Manager you will lead our maintenance team in all aspects of the day to day maintenance service in a cost effective way. You have a strong background in continuous improvement. You have the ability to influence and negotiate within a customer focused environment. You enjoy coaching and developing others and have credibility among your peers.

You will be responsible for:
• Promoting a safety conscious working environment
• Designing and maintaining preventative maintenance programs including efficient reporting and tracking systems
• Managing maintenance budgets and controlling costs
• Leading a team of multi-disciplined maintenance technicians and trades people
• Ensuring that all equipment is in safe working order in line with current regulations
• Ensuring that all certificates of compliance are maintained and up to date in accordance with relevant legislation
• Keeping up to date knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
• Responding quickly to any emergencies
• Understanding blueprints and estimating needs

You have a strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, electronics (PLC), mechanical, welding, machining, fabrication and carpentry. You are proficient in trouble shooting and root cause analysis.

You are self-driven and collaborative. You leverage your project management skills and interpersonal skills to deliver projects on time and within budget. You are ready for the next challenge in your career and are looking for a company to grow with. You have five years of relevant experience and a Post-Secondary Education.

Designer
Prestige Homes

Prestige Homes has an opening for a graduate of an Architectural Technology program to support our retailers with the design of new homes. This position requires good knowledge of the Building Code, as well as strong attention to detail. You will draft new home plans according to the dreams of new home buyers and in accordance with national and company standards, requiring drafting and re-drafting, and the ability to articulate both to the customer/retailer and engineering.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Post-secondary training in drafting and/or construction design, CET designation considered an asset
• Three to five years of experience in residential construction, including knowledge of applicable building codes and housing construction standards
• Strong computer skills, especially in the use of AutoCAD
• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem solving abilities
• Strong interpersonal skills with a desire to work in a team environment
• Strong communication skills – both verbal and written

 

Purchasing Administrator

Prestige Homes is recruiting an Administrator to work with the Purchasing Department, managing documentation, ensuring invoices are appropriately allocated, providing timely and accurate data for use in analyzing and decision making regarding materials and processes.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Post-secondary training in administration, accounting or purchasing an asset
• Minimum two years of experience in a purchasing or accounting support role
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office Word, Outlook and Excel
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work with numbers
• Very organized, including the ability to multi task and prioritize
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to contribute individually in a team environment
