TECHNICAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE
Shaw Brick
Moncton, New Brunswick

Shaw Brick is looking for a Technical Sales Representative for our New Brunswick and PEI regions. The successful candidate will be a driven relationship builder who can work well with multi-disciplined groups and present well in a business environment. We are looking for a person who takes initiative and ownership, has exceptional customer focus and a strong ability to developing new leads. Integrity, vision, and passion are essential for this role.

This role requires an investment of time directly with client site superintendents, project managers & subcontractors. The successful candidate will also commit to networking with architects, engineers, senior management of ready mix operations and construction firms and have the ability to influence engineering specifications.

As an integral part of our sales team the Technical Sales Representative will be responsible for:
• Developing and retaining relationships with key major masonry contractors
• Be aware of upcoming developer projects and seek out opportunity of supplying their masonry and landscape needs
• Developing and executing strategies aimed at growing target accounts related to geography, market segment, product line or account resulting in revenue growth
• Providing or facilitating technical assistance to customers and other sales staff to ensure all sales activity is fully supported
• Producing quotes and proposals for projects of all sizes and building segments
• Assist in the coordination of deliveries to all projects large and small
• Promoting extra products and services including coaching internal customer contact points on this topic
• Coordinating sales and service of customers with other Shaw Group divisions
• Representing Shaw Brick in various capacities in industry trade associations, trade shows and social organizations

The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
• University degree in Sciences or Engineering, or technical diploma in Civil or Industrial Engineering
• Bilingual (English/French) both verbal & written
• Sales Experience in the construction industry considered an asset.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products (word, PPT, excel, access).

• Selling Shaw Brick products through the achievement of opportunity-based sales quotas
• Reaching business targets through relationship building, excellent telephone sales, outside sales and communications skills
• Developing revenue generation through the creation of sales leads, initiation of prospect calls, and establishment of ongoing rapport with existing and potential customers

The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
• University or College degree preferred
• Minimum 5 years of experience in territory sales
• Extensive knowledge/experience in the industry
• Competency in Lotus Notes, Sales Management Systems and Microsoft Office or equivalent

BOOM TRUCK DRIVERS

We are currently looking for Boom Truck Drivers for our Lantz, NS operation. Reporting to the Manager of our Transport Division the successful candidate will be accountable, reliable and safety conscious.

MECHANIC
Maintenance Department
Lantz, NS

We are currently recruiting a MECHANIC to do regular maintenance and service (oil, grease and filter, change tires, belt, etc.) to mobile equipment; to assist licensed mechanics with repairs to mobile equipment; to keep records of service and repairs to equipment; to keep an inventory of materials required for service and maintenance and ensure available when needed; and to keep work area clean and organized. Will be required to perform other duties as assigned

Required qualifications:

• Grade XII or equivalent
• Post-secondary training and/or experience in a mechanical field will be considered an asset
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Strong sense of safety.
• Applicable safety training will be considered an asset, but may be provided, including Forklift, WHMIS, Fall Arrest, First Aid & CPR, Lock Out/Tag Out, etc.
• Ability to work without supervision and to get along well with others
• Good organizational skills
• Appreciation of production environment and the sense of urgency required
• Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as required to accommodate equipment down times
